Season's Greetings to all!
our best wishes to hedonistic hikers around the globe!
We all know how passionate the Italians are about food and wine and the season of Christmas is no exception!  There are many regional differences in their festive menus, from the boiled meats served in Piedmont, to game dishes in Tuscany and fish dishes in Basilicata, but Christmas Eve remains the most important celebration for most families.  The shops in Italy at this time are full of panettone cakes, nougat, candied fruits and chocolate to add a little sweetness to their festive feasts and it is no surprise that our newsletter this month has a particular emphasis on all things edible!

We will be celebrating this year in Australia with pizzas on Christmas Eve in our brand new outdoor pizza oven and on Christmas Day we will follow the Southern Italians with a menu based around seafood and baked fish.  We hope that all our Hedonistic Hiking friends around the world will be enjoying something special over the Christmas holiday too.   After the celebrations, when you have time to think about your travel plans for next year, don't forget to cast an eye over our website and get in touch if you would like to hike with us next year.  After all, getting ready for a good walk is the best way to work off all those seasonal indulgences!

All the team at Hedonistic Hiking would like to wish everyone a very enjoyable Christmas holiday and a happy and healthy 2018!
