Happy 10th Birthday to Us!
2017 marks ten fantastic years of food, wine and walking
This was a special year for us at Hedonistic Hiking as 2017 marked our tenth trading year, and what a year it was!  We walked with a record number of Hedonistic Hikers from all around the world, launched our wonderful new tour in Austria and the Dolomites (which is already sold out for 2018) and put the finishing touches to our new tour for 2018 in Northern Tuscany and Ravenna.

So, as the season came to an end, we decided a little celebration was in order with many of the team members who have helped to make Hedonistic Hiking the success it is today.   See the link below to find out more about our party in Piedmont!

We are on our way back now to Australia for our summer season over there and are looking forward to seeing all our Aussie friends and family.  Arriverderci to everyone in Italy but we will return in April and are already excited about another great year of Hedonistic Hiking!  Get in touch soon if you would like walk with us in 2018!

Find out more about Friuli
The region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia right in the north east corner of Italy is perhaps one of the country's least visted areas.

It is the region which we hike into on our Slovenia tour, but one which many travellers to Italy often overlook. This month's regional guide looks at many food, wine and walking reasons to visit this unheralded but fascinating part of the country.
Hunting for Piedmont's prized white truffles
If you live anywhere near Alba in Piedmont then white truffles are the talk of the town at this time of year.
Often referred to as Piedmont's "white diamonds" these delicious but rare truffles fetch thousands of euros at the annual truffle auction each November. Our Jewels of Piedmont tour gives hikers the chance to hunt for and taste this famous delicacy...

The Secrets of Saluzzo
This gorgeous gem of a town lying to the south west of Turin is the first stop on our Jewels of Piedmont tour.
It was the capital of the Marquisate of Saluzzo for over 400 years and its historic centre is filled with palaces, castles, cathedrals and convents. It also has a good selection of shops and boutiques and is home to some fantastic restaurants which serve up the very best of Piedmont's celebrated produce.
